There are a lot of things for a person to see and do in Cleveland, no matter if it is winter or if it is during a sunny summer day. There are outdoor activities, indoor museums, recreational events and lots of sightseeing to do when you are in Cleveland. There is also a cultural center that allows you to take in plays, musical performances, see art exhibits and catch a display.

One of the most recognized museums might not even seem like one to you at first. The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame sits near the water's edge of Lake Erie, on what used to be the Great Lakes Exposition. This museum holds all of the rock and roll musicians and singers who have been voted in to the hall of fame by their peers. There are lots of pictures, memorabilia, plaques, busts and music to see and listen to as you walk around and look at the different members. It's an interesting history of the who's who in rock and roll.

Another building in what was the Great Lakes Exposition of 1936 is the Great Lakes Science Center. It was opened in 1996 and doubles as a research facility for the Great Lakes and a visitor center where people can learn about the habitat of the fresh water system. There are hands on activities for children and fun things for them to discover. Nearby, the USS COD sits in the water of Lake Erie and is available for tours. This submarine was responsible for the destruction of many Japanese ships during the World War.

A Christmas Story House is for those who love the holiday and are movie buffs. A Christmas Story, with Ralphy and Randy, was filmed in a house in the 1980s in Cleveland. This movie is one of the most popular holiday movies of all time. The house was turned in to a museum where thousands of visitors roll through every year and see the leg lamp, where the hounds broke the kitchen door and where Raplhy had to wear a pink bunny costume that was sent to him as a Christmas gift..

Key Tower was opened in 1991. It was the largest building between New York and Chicago until 2007 and stands at 948 feet tall. The Comcast Center is Philadelphia now holds the title. There are many other skyscrapers that line the skyline of Cleveland, some of which are residential housing and others are corporate hubs for large businesses.

The Cleveland Museum of Art is full of permanent art pieces as well as traveling exhibits from both world renowned painters and ones who are famous to Ohio. This 40,000 piece collection holds many important pieces from the Medieval times as well as Asian and South American relics.

The Cleveland Botanical Garden is a great place to visit in the spring or summer, when many of their perennial plants and bushes are in bloom. The gardens host trees, native species of plants and lots of other herbs and grasses on the grounds. If you want to stay outside for some activity, the Cleveland Zoo house hundreds of species of animals that will entertain both young and old from displays.

There are also sporting events from the major sporting organizations housed in Cleveland. Whether you are a fan of the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns or the Cleveland Cavaliers, you can catch a game in any of their world class stadiums. You can also enjoy your own sporting activities such as water skiing, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, skiing, sledding, and snowmobiling on local lakes and in parks.
